Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall

as the red end

of a summer’s day

drops beneath the empty waves,

sinking slowly west

it saves

the best and final fireworks

for this

green and golden bay of bliss.

    1. It’s a great location, less known than the bigger beaches and bay but just as worth seeking out. It’s nice to have a glass of wine or beer to toast the sunlight show!

      1. We lived up the road from it for 2 weeks every year. I went back years later and the dog, me and a couple of beers watched the sun go down – magic
